Application
HFG Drum Scraper Dryer forms a thin film of liquid or slurry material on the surface of a steam-heated or other heated carrier drum. During the time it takes for the drum to complete one full rotation, the material is dried. The dried product is then scraped off by a knife blade. The exposed drum surface comes into contact with the feedstock again, forming another thin film for continuous drying.
This type of dryer is suitable for drying liquids or relatively viscous materials in industries such as chemicals,
pharmaceutical, dyes, food, metallurgy, and yeast, as well as for processing rice flour, wheat flakes, alpha starch, and potato whole powder. The final dried product is flake-shaped, powdery, or granular.
